Lobsters Shed Their Shells to Grow

This week, I’m building on last week's email about creating new results so you can thrive again in your career.

This has been on my mind lately…maybe because I see so many employees in a rut. Or maybe because it’s the beginning of Spring, the time for a fresh start.

I’ll start with this quote:

“In order to change skins, evolve into new cycles, I feel one has to learn to discard. If one changes internally, one should not continue to live with the same objects. They reflect one’s mind and psyche of yesterday. I throw away what has no dynamic, living use.”— Anaïs Nin

You have to completely evolve to become the next best version of yourself.

Lobsters are one of the few creatures that do this regularly. They shed their shell to grow a new one.

Likewise for you, in order to reinvent yourself in your career then you need to shed the shell you have now. Get rid of all the stress, anxiety, beliefs, and limitations that you’re now experiencing at work.

Sure, you’re afraid to let go of this identity, for better or for worse. Who would you be without that identity, that shell?

I have to tell you a secret. Those are just thoughts about yourself. Lobsters die if they get too tired to leave their shell.

That could be you if you don’t get clear on what you truly want when you go to work.

I help people, like you, build the confidence to make the necessary changes so they thrive again in their career. Are you ready to shed your shell? Schedule a complimentary session and let’s get started!
